I experienced a minor burn on the bottom of the device during use. Compressed air blew out, making it difficult to confirm the airflow at room temperature. Previously, a small pad about 1 to 2 mm thick was placed near the fan output, resembling a filter. It wasn't intended for that purpose—it was just dust. After removal and blowing, the laptop ran coolly.
Absolutely, clearing the dust makes sense. It’s hard to say whether I should swap out the thermal paste, given my limited experience fixing laptops.
I disagree, Linux Mint feels more similar to Windows based on my experience, while Ubuntu tends to be cluttered with unnecessary features like the Snap Store. If they truly wanted that look, I’d recommend using Wubuntu, which is built specifically for a Windows-like experience.
