The issue involves using Win10 Home without LAN file sharing via Windows Explorer. I attempted to share folders with multiple guides, but the laptop didn’t recognize my desktop over LAN. A friend’s Windows Pro machine can share files easily. From my end, I need to extract .rar files on my desktop and stream videos over LAN. Plex doesn’t support unpacking RAR files. Is there another program that offers similar file-sharing capabilities?

You can create and reach network folders. If this fails, use FTP or HTTP servers instead.

Just set up TeamViewer for remote access. Or, switch completely to Linux Mint—you’ll avoid all the old fees and get full control over things that have been available for a long time. PAY US!!!
