Need help with a fast antivirus solution?
As mentioned before in my earlier post, I need a dedicated antivirus solution. While I don’t actually encounter viruses, I’ve invested around 1.5k in my PC and don’t want any harm from malicious software. Using Adblock helps me avoid viruses, though I feel guilty about it because ads often bring them.
In general, viruses are hidden inside advertisements and exploited to compromise your computer through these ads.
To protect yourself, avoid visiting unsafe sites, refrain from installing questionable software, and stay away from pirated content. This keeps your system safe and secure.
I clarified earlier reasons for wanting one too. I frequently download content and use torrents often. (I mostly avoid piracy, as I dislike it—it’s harmful). When I do download games, they’re usually older titles or those not available on Steam or Origin.
You know Windows Defender is now part of the operating system, isn't it? It's essentially a free antivirus that should function well with the OS. If not, you might consider using Avast or Avira—though I haven't used them myself because I had a bad experience with them before.
