Need help updating Lenovo BIOS.

Contacting Lenovo support didn’t help either. It seems the BIOS is quite old, and you’re considering whether an update is worth the effort or if you should focus on other fixes.
Consider the alternative update that doesn't require the flash version.
That makes sense because updating the BIOS requires flashing it onto the BIOS chip.
I discovered this during a search and attempted the steps mentioned, but the command didn't work because it couldn't locate "Get-MpPreference" or "Add-MpPreference." I'm checking out Hiren's Boot CD now to see if that helps.
