I would then opt for an R9 3900x or 3950x instead of a 10900k, especially if you don’t want to wait for the fourth generation Ryzen, which is set to be announced this week.
A small note I put together: Based on what I understand about your plans, you’ll likely need a scratch disk.

this build aims to achieve better performance for a 10900k, recommending a z490 board alongside. what is its main goal?
not... not a single part... everything comes from elsewhere...
no brand matching... wow, I'm about to get sick 🤢
Big deal. My system also doesn't have any brand pairing, except for the cooling. Doesn't affect performance.
Brand pairing relates to a build by focusing on compatibility and ensuring the system runs efficiently with the investments made. It's important to consider these factors to achieve optimal performance.
I wouldn't agree with that. Intel seems to gain very little after 3200. 3600 is my limit. Past that point, the expense for the improvement doesn't justify the results.
It's also accurate, though I wanted to emphasize that purchasing an i9 comes with its own group, and for gaming purposes that group can be costly.
