A good software option for you would be one that automatically backs up your data without requiring manual effort.

The concept of mirroring is different from hardware redundancy. It doesn't safeguard against intentional data loss or malicious incidents.

Mirroring includes copying all fresh files to that drive, so if I remove something from my PC, I must delete it from the server as well. It seems untrustworthy—data isn’t fully safeguarded, and accidental loss is possible. On the plus side, there’s actually nothing crucial except a few photos, which I’ve backed up manually on my PC for safety.

nope, have a storage server which backs-up my 2 drives that aren't the OS drive...it's only programs on my OS drive so if I lost data from it, no biggie

Act quickly and carefully. If your hard drive stops now, leave the computer immediately. Switch to another machine and use a data recovery program—EaseUS is highly recommended. Install it on your second computer via USB and restore the missing Minecraft world from the USB drive. Avoid saving any Minecraft files to your main hard drive during this process. You should be able to recover the game world. If you have an SSD, it’s time to say goodbye to your old Minecraft save file.
