i'm not completely comfortable with overclocking, but i thought i could try.
i increased my i7 980x to 3.33 ghz and it's working fine so far.
i used prime95, but after the first stage at 65-70 c across all cores it jumped to 95-100 c.
i'm not very familiar with prime95, so please understand.
i'm wondering if it can handle such high temperatures? would i need liquid cooling?
i'd really appreciate some advice so i can test it properly. i plan to push it even further.
i have an asus rampage gene iii motherboard and a zalman cpns10 extreme for cooling.

Prime95 can cause your CPU to overheat during intense testing. To prevent this, consider using a larger air cooler or a mid to high-end liquid cooler.

Prime95 can cause your CPU to overheat during stress testing. If you're concerned about cooling, you might need a larger air cooler or a mid to high-end liquid cooler. I wondered if the zalman would be sufficient for cooling it. Could you give me some advice on choosing a better liquid or fan cooler?

I wondered if a Zalman model would suffice for cooling. Would you like some advice on selecting a better liquid or fan cooler? Personally, I wouldn't rely on any AIOs except the ones listed below:

Do you need some advice on selecting a better liquid or fan cooler?
I’d recommend sticking with AIOs except for the ones listed here:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6835186153
and
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...-_-Product
I’d also like an air cooler, that’s what I’m used to.
