Need help overclocking my GPU
Need help overclocking my GPU
Hello,
I have a Galax 1070 HOF (HUGE COOLER) with the link you provided.
I managed to overclock it to 2138 Mhz core clock and 4498 Mhz on memory (sorry if the notes are off).
When I set the power limit and voltage, that’s what I receive, but the temperatures never exceed 60 Celsius.
The voltage reaches 1081 mV.
Can I push it even further so I can achieve 75 frames per second in 1440p High resolution?
Not really, the chips are voltage locked. That's a good memory boost, but they're not very strong on the GPU. Most stay around 2100 to 2200 max.
Temperature hasn't been an issue since Kepler.
Going further would need changes, and I think no one has solved the Galax HOF yet. This is typically done for reference boards or boards aiming for records, like Kingpin.

Actually, the chips are voltage locked. That's a good memory boost, though the GPU performance is still average. Most units sit between 2100 and 2200 max.

Going further would need changes, and I'm not sure anyone has solved the Galax HOF before. This kind of work is usually for reference boards or those aiming for records, like Kingpin.
Thanks

Likely not much can be done here. You could check the numbers in Precision X if you increase the boost max TDP as high as possible. The GPU might overclock itself even more, but that’s uncertain.
