Need help overclocking CPU

I own an Asus z170 a with a 6600k processor.
When I attempt to overclock, the system reports an inaccessible boot device.
After resetting everything to defaults, it still fails to start, but after reinstalling Windows it does boot successfully. However, overclocking remains impossible.

Regarding the boot sequence? My Asus Z170 Ranger was acting strangely too, so I adjusted the order of the drives and used boot override to help.

I'm sorry, I don't understand the issue—it seems to be a BSOD. I can't really assist with that.
EDIT: A quick search indicates a stable OC; what settings were you looking for?

EDIT: A brief search indicates a stable OC exists; what settings were you using?
Frequency: 4.4 GHz
Vcore: 1.3 V
