Need Help Overclocking
I've heard many suggestions about overclocking my CPU, but I'm not sure how to do it properly and don't want to risk damaging anything. If anyone can assist me, that would be really helpful.
This combination is unnecessary in practice thanks to Performance Boost2 and XFR2 on the 2nd generation Ryzen and x470 chipset. When required and under load, it can still enhance performance significantly across all cores, almost matching the gains you could achieve by overclocking. If you're not comfortable with OC, you'll only see minor improvements while generating more heat.

Your components seem suitable for overclocking, just make sure your power supply can handle it. For what you aim to achieve—better gaming performance, handling large files, or something else—most folks get confused by the idea of OC. If you want smooth gameplay, a faster GPU works better; for 4K editing, a quicker NMMe drive is ideal.
OCing could speed up your parts, but it might also shorten their lifespan. Don’t risk it unless you’re confident.
