I'm a beginner with this OC idea but I need to change my Q6600 at 2.4 GHz so it stays stable under 65°C idle. Here are the details of my setup: CPU is Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, motherboard Gigabyte G41M-Combo, 2 x 4GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM, cooling from CM Hyper 212 LED, and a 500W E-VIEW ATX power supply. What adjustments should I make first before gradually increasing them?

A rating of 50C usually means it's fine. The poor ones tend to get lower ratings or don't mention that spec, making it simple to identify.

Which GPU? The one that handles most of the processing. A known brand works, but overall performance depends mainly on the GPU.
