Hey everyone, I’m trying to boost my memory’s performance but it’s been a bit tricky. Most of the instructions I found are outdated, the software has changed, and features vary by place, making things confusing. Here’s what I’m using right now: current voltages, DRAM Calculator suggestions. The issue is that the left column (like tCL, CAS ns, etc.) is blank. In the guides I’ve seen, DRAM Calculator includes an XMP button to fill this list, but the latest version doesn’t have it—just asks you to import XMP instead of auto-generating. I’ve tried these default settings, but my board won’t even start. (I’m using an Asus Tuf X570 gaming plus.) Anyone have tips or should I adjust something? It feels like missing those numbers in the left row might be causing the problem and I need to fix that part. I do know I have Typhoon Burner installed, but I’m not very familiar with it. I’m Jon Snow—any advice would be really appreciated.
I also face challenges with 3600mhz RAM performance compared to CL18 (including Bdie). From what I understand, Bdie at that high CL usually falls into the lower binned range, which limits optimization efforts. Your current setup is highly unlikely to succeed. The 3600 18-22-22-42 code probably points to a Hynix CJR chip with average performance. To improve timing, adjust the CAS latency to 16 and set memory voltage to 1.45V. If that works, reduce the remaining major timings by 2.
Looking for ways to achieve 2666mhz CL14 or 3200mhz CL14 from a single set. Good details, planning to explore further.
I settled on 1.38v with CL set to 16 and it worked. Then I lowered it further to 1.45v but hit a red error in UEFI, so I adjusted again to 1.38v. After that, the system booted into Windows. I’ll test more at this speed to check stability. Appreciate the advice!
