It might need a BIOS upgrade for some of the later 4th generation i7 models. There are two CPU lines: - Haswell (4770 and 4770K) - Devil's Canyon (4790 and 4790K). 4770(K) supports any H81 BIOS. 4790(K) could need a BIOS update, depending on the current version.

My goal was 4790K but I felt a bit anxious about updating the BIOS. I’m not sure what to do.

The guide explains updating the BIOS. You'll require a functional processor on the device and a flash memory card. Simply transfer the BIOS data onto the card, and the process should work. This step might not always be necessary, depending on the specific BIOS version.

I might not need to refresh the bios at all. If screenshot 1 matches the phone photo, I’m almost up-to-date.

It seems you likely don't require an update. The CPU support guide indicates you must have BIOS version 2001 or higher for the i7 4790K: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/H81MPL...pDesk_CPU/
