Need help changing the information on your Gigabyte X370 K3?
Hello everyone, I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. I need to refresh the information on my Gigabyte X370 motherboard. I'm planning to install a Ryzen 2700X CPU and a better GPU than what I currently have—specifically an RTX 2060 Super. I want to play games at 1080p with a smooth 144Hz display. My main question is: is there a simple and fast way to upgrade the BIOS on my desktop? Since my board is still running BIOS F1, do I need to download every revision to a USB stick and use QFLL to flash it from the BIOS menu? Any advice would be really appreciated. My system is still strong with a 1500X and 16GB of RAM, but I expect it to hit a bottleneck if I upgrade to something like the RTX 2060 Super or higher. I just want something much more powerful than my current 1060 3GB card, which should last another 3-4 years on high settings. While my rig is still solid, I’m aiming for a setup that can handle games at 2160p or even 144Hz with minimal lag. Thanks in advance for your help!
Update your bios by following the recommended installation steps. Use the manufacturer’s software or BIOS installer and select the latest version without forcing specific versions in sequence. Avoid skipping steps like "install F20 before F40."
I can offer my guidance, but at the end of the day I'm not an expert—I'm just another person on a forum like you. When I refresh my bios, I focus on ensuring consistent power delivery. Also, I tend to download the newest bios. If other considerations arise, I recommend checking out more detailed tutorials on the topic.
