I recently received a free rig that came with everything except RAM and storage, so I purchased the necessary parts and assembled it. It performed well. The issue arises when playing games like Fortnite—my computer crashes after a few minutes. From my experience, the problem seems to be related to the RAM. I ran Heaven and everything worked fine; Prime 95 at 3000 MHz gave me the rated speed, but the system froze and required a restart. When I used the original speed of 2133, it functioned perfectly. The RAM in question is a Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Memory Kit Model CMK16GX4M2B3000C15, which should support these speeds. It’s possible I didn’t set the correct XMP profile, and it’s conceivable that the BIOS for this motherboard differs from what I’m accustomed to. The full parts list is attached.

Asrock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K6 Motherboard
Intel Core i7-6700k @ 4.00 GHZ

Afformented RAM
Radeon R9 Fury X
Some EVGA 650 W 80+ bronze PSU
1TB Seagate FireCuda
Extra note but less crucial—I bought an M.2 module, but there are no screws, so I purchased a kit designed for Asrock motherboards. The screws are too small; any guidance on the correct size or a link to compatible ones would be helpful.

the game stops working despite having excellent specifications. check the background processes in task manager to see which apps are consuming your memory. if that doesn’t help, consider updating your graphics card.
