All those steps didn’t fully resolve the problem since the IP address still recognized it as you. It seems the hack involved linking to the host’s cookies and accessing the company’s sessions. The suggested fix was to avoid using that machine altogether, though it feels like a long shot given how much of my life is tied to it.
