Hello. I purchased the 'Strix 1080 Ti' and am trying to determine its maximum overclock potential. Everything was functioning normally until an unusual event occurred. Specifically, when I run Uningine Heaven, my screen freezes for about three seconds, after which the benchmark continues but the GPU fans stop working—appearing as if they are idle on the desktop. This forces me to halt the benchmark because temperatures rise rapidly. After this incident, my OC software (GPU Tweak II) becomes unresponsive, though it remains interactive except when I need to close it via Task Manager. I’m a bit puzzled about what’s happening. Is this a 'GPU Tweak' bug or have I reached the card’s maximum overclock setting? In the past, I could easily recognize when I hit the max OC for my GPUs, seeing artifacts, driver crashes, or similar issues, but never encountered something like this before.

It's a software issue. I have the program with my RX 480 (STRIX OC), and whenever I launch it, it crashes.

To eliminate the software utility problem, consider using MSI Afterburner instead.
The event viewer indicates what occurred.
See this guide on using the event viewer in Windows 10: http://www.dummies.com/computers/operati...indows-10/

To eliminate concerns about the software tool, consider using MSI Afterburner.
What information does the event viewer indicate occurred?
See: http://www.dummies.com/computers/operati...indows-10/
I generally prefer 'Msi Afterburner,' but I’m facing an issue unlocking voltage with version 4.3.0. I attempted it with afterburner and received the same outcome—screen freeze lasting 3–4 seconds, fans stopping briefly, and the GPU monitor not displaying any data beyond temperature.
Edit: I forgot to include the event viewer log; it reads: 'Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.'

Access the Voltage Control options within the MSI settings.

Lucas_7_94 is exploring ways to unlock voltage control in MSI settings. He notes difficulties despite needing version 4.4.x for 1080 Ti cards, and finds the official Afterburner site lacks that release. Links to 'guru3d' beta versions appear ineffective. He obtained MSI Afterburner 4.4.0 Beta 9, which slightly boosts GPU performance and stability, but issues persist after 15 minutes of running Unigine Heaven (driver nvlddmkm unresponsive). He suspects either outdated Nvidia drivers or reaching the GPU's maximum overclock limit, with symptoms appearing at 2106Mhz core clock and turbo boost 3.0.
