Yes, that's accurate. You won't be able to upgrade the RAM, but 4GB is still sufficient. Just keep background tasks to a minimum.
The extra expense doesn't seem justified, but if you're still interested, I suggest a more up-to-date system: CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V That board only supports DDR3 RAM. This CPU performs well in modern games when overclocked to 4.7GHz and above.
Thank you for the ideas. I'll try my old board first. If it doesn't suit, I'll opt for the more costly choice.
