Choose Windows. Those specific names aren't found on Linux. Still, for the sake of it, look into obtaining an OEM key. You can purchase Windows at a significantly lower cost than the retail price. I managed to get Windows 7 for just $20. It performs excellently for gaming.

You can obtain a free Windows copy via Dreamspark using your educational email. Alternatively, you might enjoy installing it directly from another PC by transferring the key. If you prefer, you can also bypass the purchase entirely.

I faced no problems launching Steam on Linux. It seems the person using it might run into compatibility challenges. The specific titles they mentioned—Battlefield and GTA—don’t work on Linux and aren’t available via Wine, so for them, Windows is the only option.

The link points to a product page for a Windows OEM key. It’s important to verify the site’s legitimacy before downloading anything. Always ensure you’re on a secure connection and that the seller is reputable to avoid scams.

Sorry about that, I accidentally referenced the wrong individual. Let me make sure this is correct.

That process appears to show product names and prices without requiring login. For the price comparison, Windows 10 Pro costs the same at Kinguin as elsewhere—there’s no significant difference.

Thanks to everyone, I’m planning to purchase an OEM key for Windows 10 Pro. I wasn’t anticipating such interest, but Linus was correct—this community is really supportive.
