I'm a bit confused about whether this is the right place, as it doesn't seem to cover everything. I'm planning to upgrade my CPU and RAM. My current setup includes:

Ryzen 5 5600 (Non-X)
MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max
16Gb Corsair Vengeance DDR4
RTX 3060 12Gb (Not Ti)
SSD M.2 1To

I aim for at least 32Gb of RAM, but I'm unsure about the exact CPU requirement. I play a lot of Escape From Tarkov and sometimes experience lag, as well as Call Of Duty and newer titles. I'd appreciate some advice before making further purchases. Thanks a lot, and sorry if it's not the right section for my question.

Budget?
If staying on AM4, the 5800x3D is a solid option.
But if you're near Micro Center, I'd recommend an AM5 bundle.
The 5800x3d feels a bit too expensive for me personally.
Upgrading to 4070 would be a good card upgrade.

The combination of a Ryzen 5 5600 and an RTX 3060 offers a decent balance. Swapping the CPU might not provide much gain without a stronger graphics card. Unless you're into highly detailed first-person shooters?
