I've just assembled a new PC and am looking for a legitimate Windows 8 key. I don’t have the budget for $100, but I’d really like to get one. Are there cheaper options available? Also, I’m planning to upgrade to Windows 10 soon—any advice on getting a key quickly? Thanks!

I checked Reddit, but it seemed a bit unreliable. How do they manage to earn money by selling things at those prices?

I haven't tried G2A yet, but I think I can look it up. Probably not everyone can afford to try it, right? Thanks for all the advice!

G2A purchases keys from other regions where prices are lower, often based on local cost of living, and then resells them here at a slightly higher price. It’s not about being unable to afford Windows; you just didn’t factor in the regional pricing. At least you’re attempting a legitimate transaction—most people get frustrated when they see someone with a high income and still pirate Windows because it seems too costly.

Great! Thanks for the details. Shirokado will definitely look into it. I really appreciate your help—knowing I’m not breaking any rules makes me feel better. Also, I’m not able to pay the RRP price for Windows right now because of my college expenses, but your support means a lot!

Get it from Microsoft if you’re a student using the student edition for discounted rates. Just provide your university email, and sometimes you’ll receive a complimentary copy of Office, though it’s wise to confirm with your institution’s IT department.
