Hey there, I'm new to the community but have been following Linus and friends for a while. About six months ago I switched from playing on consoles to building my own PC. My setup now includes a Ryzen 9 5900X, a Gigabyte RX 6900 XT OC, 32GB Corsair Vengeance 3600mhz, a CL14 MSI, a B550 Gaming Edge SSD, and a 850W Gold PSU from Samsung. I'm using an M.2 1TB SSD and a Segotep 850w Gold monitor. I'm running Windows 10 with AMD Adrenalin Software.
At first everything worked great, but then my main game, Warzone, started crashing my system. It used to happen occasionally, but now it's happening all the time. Often I can't even launch a game before my PC crashes and restarts. When it does, I see a brief BSOD that disappears sometimes. I usually play Warzone at normal settings to avoid VRAM issues, but now it affects all games.
My son recently downloaded Roblox, and the PC even shut down while he played. I've tried several fixes: using DDU to remove and reinstall drivers, updating drivers, updating Windows, running third-party software fixes, rebooting after updates, and stress-testing the GPU. I've also checked the Windows memory test, completed benchmarks like Heaven and Cinebench, optimized the system for gaming, and verified all connections.
I've looked into the logs and found several task IDs that might be relevant, but I'm still unsure what's causing the problem. Any advice would be really helpful. Thanks a lot!
Corsair RAM is experiencing problems lately, particularly with Ryzen setups. This seems to be a widespread issue, affecting many users. Make sure your motherboard can handle the RAM speed you're using; I discovered my board doesn't support more than 16GB at that speed. The chipset is now behaving erratically. For Ryzen users, Crucial Ballistix is usually a better choice. Some suggest Samsung B-die for higher performance needs.
