Need assistance with your PC build? Let me know what you're planning and I'll help!
I planned to assemble a PC using an i3 10105f, RX 580, 16GB 2666 RAM, and an ASRock H510M-HDV R2.0 motherboard. It looks fine for the build, but when I tried to select it in the PC part picker, it asked me to update the BIOS before booting. The board indicates a minimum BIOS version of p1.10. I’m wondering if I can check the current BIOS version before purchasing. It’s tough since I don’t have another CPU and the board doesn’t have a flash button. Can I find out what BIOS it already has? Thanks for helping—I don’t want to spend over 100 euros on an outdated board.
Are you purchasing this PC because of limited funds for a newer system? Is your region the problem? You might be able to get a board built with the BIOS you require, but on Intel you’ll need a CPU to perform a BIOS flash—something AMD offers through their loan program. Are there other brands that ship ready? Could an AMD setup exceed your budget as well?
