Hey there! I was working on setting up a server to play with some friends. I went through the whole process and managed to create it. I also forwarded the port like a YouTube tutorial suggested. When logging into Minecraft using my IPv4 address, everything works smoothly. I have the Java window open too, which lets the server run. I tried connecting using my public IP to see if others could join, but so far it hasn’t worked. My friend also tried with her public IP and didn’t get in. I keep seeing the error "java.net.connectexception: connection refused." No details are provided. I think my modem or router might be the issue. Thanks for any advice!

Visit Canyouseeme.org to check if port 25565 is accessible. Capture a screenshot of the server.properties file. Execute the script using a batch file format.

You redirected both TCP and UDP traffic through your router.

They confirmed both instances. The system reported a timeout during the port verification process.

Ensure your connection has sufficient upload capacity for testing at speedtest.net. Aim for about 1Mbps upload and a reasonable ping to avoid lag.

Your port isn't being forwarded. If it were, it would display some green text... Otherwise, keep the server IP blank. You should be ready then.

Sure, I tried despite the slow connection. I thought it would still work even with some lag.

You might not be able to forward ports. All the information you saved doesn't seem to be functioning properly.
