I own a Ryzen 3900X paired with an X570 Aorus Xtreme and four 8GB DDR4 3200 modules. I built this system in early August and it has performed flawlessly. The recent Gigabyte Bios updates have been solid, so go for the setup you've been considering with assurance.

I believe purchasing such a CPU goes beyond what you need for Fortnite and Apex... Work CPUs like 9P/3900X aren't really for casual gaming.

Looking ahead, new releases in three years could be worth considering. Still, I understand your point—current games show only a small gap between 3900X and 3600X, around 5-8% performance boost. You could get two 3600 processors for the cost of one 3900X. Ultimately, it depends on how much you depend on those extra cores now and later.
