I’m testing my i9 12900KF and decided to run a stability check on OCCT (CPU+RAM). At startup, the upper left voltage reading kept fluctuating between 1.5-1.51v while staying in the 59c-60c range. HWInfo 64 confirmed this range. On the Core VID it consistently showed 1.38v with temperatures around 59c-60c. When I focused only on the CPU stability test, the VCore stayed between 1.38-1.48, mostly around 1.42-1.46. Power consumption spiked to about 241W and temperatures reached roughly 90°C, which is managed by an Artic Liquid Freezer III 360mm unit. It’s paired with an Asus TUF Gaming B760-Plus WiFi D4 on the latest non-beta BIOS (Version 1663 - 2024/08/15). Is this behavior typical? Should I be worried? Your advice would be appreciated! Thank you.

Gen 12 avoids those issues, maybe you missed out on the silicon chance.

I reviewed the discussion on Reddit and found the information you mentioned. The voltage controller sensor on the NCP81530 motherboard appears to display incorrect readings, especially on B series boards compared to Z series. After checking the VCore, it consistently stays near 1.35V, which is close but still within a typical range. Whether this is considered high depends on your specific system and usage. Thank you for sharing your experience!

It's fine, maybe you should slightly undervolt the core voltage, such as -75mV

I believed the B760 series boards didn’t support overclocking or undervolting. To achieve this, you’d need to follow specific steps and use compatible hardware.

It seems at least this setup supports it, as the multipliers remain unchanged. The BIOS details for your graphics card aren’t clear—maybe a quick YouTube search could help.

I'll test it later after work, but if I avoid the Bios and those numbers, the current VCore readings seem normal. I'm okay with the increased power draw and the potential degradation and problems it may bring.
