Hello, I'm a first-time pc builder and while waiting for my case to arrive I decided to test my pc to make sure it works. After finishing up the build, I tried to boot up the pc, but it wouldn't turn on. I checked the error lights, and it was a CPU error. Then, I re plugged all of the cables and reseated the ram and GPU. This worked, but I got a strange error about corrupted files, and about me installing a new CPU. This probably comes from the fact that I'm using a used GPU, though. I just pressed y and the pc booted up into bios. After this, I turned off the pc. Afterward, I went to install windows, but the pc wouldn't boot up again and flashed the CPU Light. Luckily, I yet again managed to get the PC to boot up the next time I tried to turn it on. I got another error while trying to install windows. It just didn't show anything in the list of drives to install windows onto. Now, my PC has just gone back to no longer showing any display and showing the CPU light whenever I try to turn it on. Parts: 7800x3d, Asus ROG Strix B650e-i, 1080 ti(just temporary will upgrade soon), 32gb 6000Mhz Cl30 G Skill Flare x5, Corsair SF850, Arctic Liquid Freezer III 280mm, Thermal right Motherboard contact frame Thank you for any troubleshooting ideas you give.

It's unclear from the details provided. Make sure the parts are on an insulating base. You might also run the system without the GPU because the CPU includes built-in graphics. This could be a small issue that isn't obvious right away.

The parts are inside the motherboard case, not resting on a metal surface. I've attempted to boot without the GPU and it still doesn't start. Also, I'm unsure if this helps, but when trying to power up, the warning lights change from DRAM issues to CPU errors, then back to DRAM before settling on CPU error for the duration.

Is there a BIOS update for your motherboard? Your processor might not be compatible with the current BIOS version. If the problem continues, try testing your CPU on another machine or with a different CPU from the same board. Also, check your RAM.

I understand you're looking for a method to refresh your profile without activating your PC.

Your motherboard allows BIOS flashback. Just connect the motherboard and PSU for this to function. Refer to the provided link for details: https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-st...desk_bios/. If the section didn't appear right, check driver & utility -> BIOS & firmware. The instructions are straightforward and available in your manual as well as on ASUS' website.
