You're facing a common challenge with your ASUS CH7 Hero setup. With only five fan headers, mounting all twelve fans efficiently is tricky. Splitters can help, but using 4-pin PWM splitters with three fans per header might not be ideal if you want to avoid extra adapters. It's better to stick with a dedicated fan hub or plan your layout carefully to maximize airflow without compromising other components. Let me know if you'd like more specific advice!

You possess six fan headers. Including the H_AMP header, which operates at a higher amperage (2A maximum instead of 1A), still allows full fan control—just adjust the fan curve slightly. The H_AMP header draws 2A, while the others draw 1A each. This helps verify the power requirements for a Y-splitter setup with three fans. In practice, fans typically consume between 0.1A and 0.3–0.4A, depending on the model.

You're able to operate three fans at full speed using just one header. It should work fine, though I wouldn't exceed that limit.

I exhausted the fan headers after connecting four devices. Three is now my maximum if they operate at 12V with 4-pin PWM.

I rely solely on one fan per header. The Delta1212SHE (1.6a) and rear EFC0912BF (0.6a) models handle a significant volume of air, even at rest.

The estimate is unclear; it's uncertain whether the actual airflow is significant or minimal.

Wow, really appreciate the warning! It seems I've only received 3-way shipping a few times, so I haven't lost any headers. Just a note: having more fans on a header makes them move a bit slower, though not dramatically.

I own a Commander Pro setup. It helps keep cables neat for 13 fans, and I haven’t seen any problems running smoothly at steady or high speeds. I’m planning to purchase another unit to switch to two fans per header.

It's great you're thinking about your needs! For crypto machines, a controller can be useful, but it might feel unnecessary at first. What brand do you usually prefer?
