Hi there. I tried contacting ASUS tech support, but they didn’t help much. Installing custom firmware on routers isn’t something I’ve done much, though OpenWRT is widely used. I’m not sure if it would work with your specific model.

Return to the router's original settings through the operating system. Download or reinstall the most recent suitable firmware via Ethernet. Restore the router to its factory defaults using the built-in tools. Configure it however you like and verify the changes.
