I need to change the admin password on my Windows 8.1 computer. I want to avoid using USB drives or performing a full reset. This should help me install apps without needing extra permissions. Thanks! Edited August 31, 2017 – Cap lock removed from the title.

Check your system details by opening Command Prompt and entering "systeminfo." Review the output for any clues about permissions or admin rights.
