Hey everyone, I need some assistance with boosting my Threadripper 1950x memory. I'll share the screenshots and parts list I have, but any advice would be really helpful! When I installed the Gigabyte Easy Tune app, it only lets me tweak settings inside the app. In my BIOS, I can't adjust voltages or other options directly. My setup includes a Gigabyte Designare x399 memory (2x16GB GSKILL Aegis, 4x8GB GSKILL Trident RGB) and a Corsair RM 750x PSU. Thanks for your support!

This RAM setup won’t allow a significant performance boost. Locate a set that fits your board (like the Gaming 7) and it’s unlikely to succeed unless someone has experimented before. Consider selling the 8-pack and purchasing two Aegis 16s instead. The BIOS may prevent changes because it doesn’t support a matching XMP profile. I’m unsure about the BIOS update timeline, but F3G and F12 are likely the best options for the Gaming 7. The exact F3G version isn’t clear, and older revisions aren’t available on Gigabyte’s site. Most intermediate versions had problems. Think about swapping to a proper matched quad—four 8GB sticks would work. Update the BIOS to F12 and try overclocking. A compatible Aegis kit around 3200 with timings like 18-36 is a solid target. If you find a BIOS kit, you should reach stable speeds of about 3600.
