Hey there from the UK! I recently upgraded my gaming PC and switched from an Intel i5-4460s with an RX460 and 16GB RAM to a new setup featuring an Intel i5-5600K, a GTX 1080 Ti, and 16GB RAM. I transferred my old 1TB SSD to the new machine since the NVMe drive wasn’t ready yet. Now it’s installed as a Samsung M.2 NVMe 512GB drive. I’m planning to mount my Windows 10 OS on the NVMe card and keep my SATA SSD as the primary storage for games and files. During the migration, I had my Windows key wiped on the old drive, leaving a watermark in the corner. I’m wondering if it’s possible to move my OS to the NVMe while preserving my existing files and games, or if a full reinstall would be necessary. I also have a Windows 10 Pro USB image ready in case anything goes wrong. Love the videos! Regards, Jack Martin-Beales

For those interested, my old computer could handle games smoothly at 60-80 frames per second on high settings, considering it's quite outdated by modern standards.

cloning a drive copies it to the current state of the previous drive. since your windows isn't turned on, the process will behave similarly with the new drive.

I noticed it was in the wrong thread after sharing it, so I moved it to the Windows discussion and figured out how to remove this one.

It was turned on before switching to the new computer. The system noticed a significant hardware update and shut it down.

Then you're out of luck. If that key is locked to your hardware then there's no way to activate it on the new hardware. You're probably better off buying a new key. Just get the OEM keys which are cheap online.
