Need assistance with Windows? Let me help!
I recently tried to utilize all my 16GB of RAM by adjusting the settings, but 8.1 was marked as "hardware reserved." I looked up a tutorial on YouTube, which is now unavailable, and changed my Maximum Memory to 16384. It should have resolved the issue. However, now Windows starts as if no RAM was allocated at all! Help needed!
It occurred to me once when I tried to configure the bootup RAM to 16GB in Windows 7. I had to start via USB and access recovery settings. Then I opened the command prompt and adjusted the settings that way. Additionally, if a RAM stick is reserved by hardware, it might be due to a faulty component or incompatibility with your system.
This would not appear at all. The hardware is typically set aside for iGPU use.
Usually it doesn't work, but the person probably followed a guide for a different purpose and messed up their setup.
I've used it before personally. Just one stick was enough; the second one claimed 8GB reserved. The faulty one wouldn't even start. This happened on a Ryzen 2600 system—no GPU support available.
