Do you have all the necessary files installed on the storage device along with the operating system? It’s advised to keep one HDD or SSD dedicated solely for Windows, while using other drives for applications and miscellaneous data. This approach ensures stability during reinstallation of Windows, protecting your files. If you don’t have another drive available, the only solution is to back up your data—especially user profiles—and then reinstall Windows. Programs stored on the same drive as the OS can’t be backed up.
Always keep a backup in mind. External drives are affordable these days. However, just storing one copy on an external or internal drive isn’t enough—you should have at least two copies on different devices (HDD, SSD, flash drive, cloud, etc.).
