Hi guys, yesterday i uninstalled avast and installed bitdefender(i got a code for it, only reason for changing, everything worked perfectly) then followed to reboot and i get a message "attempting recovery" after attempting to look into the problem i found that i cannot boot to any safe mode, or refresh laptop, also found an error code 0xc000000f and acpi.sys missing or corrupt. I cant afford to lose any date. What to do?

Ideal approach is to remove the HDD from the machine and transfer all important data. After that, attempt to fix the setup using an installation disc or USB drive.

ACPI is a feature used by SATA. Generally, Windows fails to boot because it doesn't fully recognize the SATA controller or the hard drive. I align with the other perspective—remove the disk from the system and use another machine to recover the important information. Otherwise, any attempt to fix the drive might result in data loss. I considered trying it, but there’s no simple way to reach the HDD without taking off the rubber pads at the bottom of the monitor. I worry about losing the warranty if I do that.

Which specific laptop is it? Generally, taking out the HDD doesn’t cancel the warranty. If you bring it in for repair, they might erase the HDD, causing all your data to disappear.

Try launching from Hiren's boot CD and initiate recovery by connecting the drive.

It's the Toshiba P50...I haven't seen it again from Toshiba.

You just need to remove the back cover and a few screws—it’s not too bad. There are no warranty labels on the screws, so everything should be okay.
