The problem of disconnecting and reconnecting appears to be specific to 5G, not 2.4.

It didn't work with the mixed 802.11 a/n/ac setup... Should I switch to a/n mixed instead?

I overlooked leaving everything in a mixed state. AC support is turned off by default in mixed mode. Please adjust the remaining settings as requested.
