Need assistance with VHDX images? Let me know how I can help.
Hello, I encountered an issue while trying to fix my Dell Inspiron laptop. I installed a 128GB SSD and added my existing 1TB hard drive using a caddy. For data backup, I created a Windows image from the settings. Now I’m on Windows installed on the SSD and need to recover the files, specifically two folders—Pictures and 3D objects. I tried using the Windows Image Recovery option but encountered errors. The image is in .vhdx format. Could you guide me through the next steps? Thank you.
I struggle to access the WindowsImageBackup on the same machine. The files (Windows10Upgrade and WindowsImageBackup) were moved to another laptop (laptopB) with Windows 7, but I can't locate the mount option there. On my original laptop (laptopA), I'm unable to open the WindowsImageBackup folder.
You noticed the media appears restricted initially. After reviewing the read-only settings, the file could be attached, but it isn’t visible in the disk management interface on your main PC or as a standalone drive.
