I settled on Ubuntu Linux over a year ago. Recently, I bought a new laptop and am studying HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I aim to share my projects online and transform my old Ubuntu 20.04 machine into a web server. I need help setting up a proper domain, SSL certificate, and an HTTPS-to-HTTPS redirect. Please, any expert in this area can assist. E-mail: <REMOVED BY STAFF>

Ensure you obtain a public IP address from your ISP before proceeding. You may use a dynamic or static address depending on your needs. Having a public IP is essential for setting up a server at home.

I suggest using a VPS for hosting. If needed, you can configure a VPN to route traffic through local machines while staying within the VPS. Transfer your domain to Cloudflare and create an A record using your VPS IP address. Set up MySQL, PHP, and Certbot later on.
