Need assistance with two routers together?
Hello everyone. I'm trying to recall my networking abilities which feel quite outdated. Perhaps someone here with more experience can assist? I have two Asus RT-AX88U routers linked via Cat 6 RJ-45 cables to separate ports on my ISP Broadband Arris Router. Each router supports its own Wi-Fi, and I connect various devices to them using the same cables. Since my home isn't prewired, mesh setups haven't worked well for me, especially with 1G broadband. Currently, everything functions smoothly—every device can access the internet without problems. What I'm aiming for is connecting devices between the two routers directly. I'm unsure how to configure this in the Arris Broadband router to enable subnet-to-subnet connections. Are there any suggestions on using the hardware from a recommended setup? This would help because some devices, like my gaming PC, need wired links, while phones and printers rely on Wi-Fi. I've tried drawing a diagram, but networking questions are tough unless more details are provided. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.
