You can turn it on with the new device. It will handle removing the license from the previous version automatically.

I don't understand Kingston, but Samsung SSD has a transfer software for... You can check their Kingston website at the link provided.

Just change the drives while keeping everything else unchanged. If it says you need a key, insert your old HDD and retrieve the activation code. There are utilities for this; Speccy displays it too. Then apply it to set up Windows 10.

Make sure your Windows version is genuine and you've made a duplicate of your files in case the copying didn't go through or got cut off. Updated on July 20, 2017 by hey_yo_

I've transferred every file from the hard drive to the solid-state drive. No worries, I'm just double-checking to make sure everything stays intact.

Not on the updated device. Changing the drives shouldn't be linked to keys.

I have no idea... either should work, but nothing is perfect and there is always a chance of having to reinstall to get rid of odd little bugs
