Hello! You're facing a common challenge when moving from an SSD to a traditional HDD. It seems the system is blocking installation because it detects the disk as GPT-formatted, which isn't compatible with Windows. You don’t necessarily need to remove all your old partitions—just ensure you’re using the correct partition layout. You can create a new partition specifically for Windows installation, which will avoid conflicts with the existing GPT setup. Check your drive layout and consider using tools like DiskPart or GParted to manage partitions safely. Good luck with your server setup!

You can recall various settings by using a delete feature and a formatting choice during the Windows installation process. Simply remove the unnecessary partitions and format what remains for a smooth setup. Like that ^^

During installation, windows will handle it automatically and prompt you about formatting the drive.

You can try creating the partition again after formatting, or you might need to remove existing partitions before installing a new one.

Are you planning to use the HDD as a boot device for another machine? Your Windows license is designed for one PC at a time, meaning you’ll require two licenses for two separate systems. Regarding the GPT format, Windows only supports it on EFI-based systems. If you want to install Windows on a BIOS-only machine, you’ll need to format the drive to an MBR, which will erase all existing data. This approach should function correctly but will result in the loss of any information on the drive.

The backup storage is available, yet it doesn’t allow installation there either, so would you consider wiping everything?

It seems confusing. Could you clarify what you mean by "unused space"?

I created 200GB of unused space, but it didn’t accept the disk. I’m unsure what to do next.

The system offers a way to transfer the prior Windows setup to a Windows.old partition within the drive. However, if the format isn't compatible, it might be simpler to switch to a different storage device, clean up the current drive, reformat it, and then reinstall Windows. Afterward, you can restore the files back onto the original drive.

I can't take pictures directly. But I can describe the current scenario in detail so you can visualize it or provide a clear explanation.
