First I run the XMP profile for my RAM or set it to 3600, but then I see a black screen when I reboot and the CPU light turns red on the motherboard. The BIOS was updated, yet the issue persists. Second, I added an NVMe M.2 drive, tried installing Windows from USB, but it keeps failing to meet the specs even after. I switched to a 7200 HDD, which installed smoothly. Windows 11 doesn’t recognize the M.2 but shows errors. This is my first build in years, so I’m looking for assistance. Motherboard model: X570 Steel Legend WiFi AX CPU: Ryzen 5600G RAM: DDR4 4x 8GB sticks of RGB Vengeance Power Supply: EVGA 600W NVMe 1.3 Gen 3x 4 250GB Windows 11 No GPU yet. BIOS is at the latest update L5.01.

Are you asking if Windows won't recognize the drive in File Explorer or if it appears in disk partitions and formatting? Also, confirm that XMP is your dedicated RAM speed and that the BIOS handles it correctly—don't adjust it manually.

Use Rufus to generate the Windows 11 installation media, skipping any unnecessary restrictions.

I think your CPU or board might not handle 4 sticks at 3600MHz well. Try lowering the speed to 3200 or use just 2 sticks.

Open the start menu, enter "Create and format a hard disk partition," and check if another drive appears!

Agree. this is a known issue for some Ryzen motherboard and CPU models. however it is more common to happen above 4000mhz. 2 slots works normally, but using 4 you will have problems. It is important to test if the problem persists when using only 2 slots. for 2. double check that NVME was installed correctly. Take it off and put it all the way in, without using too much force. I’m still having trouble getting them to run at the expected speed. When I set it to 3200 and 1.40 volts, it works fine. I attempted values between 3200 and 3600, but instead of a black screen, I got a blue one.

I managed to get it running finally after replacing the HDD and doing a fresh install.
