if unsure, remove it and attempt another boot. I think it should work if you do. When reinstalling, pay close attention to the standoffs on the back side for any scratches on the PCB. A standoff could be touching metal directly. Also check that cables and pins aren’t damaged during removal. Be extra careful when reinserting to avoid metal contact and ensure proper cabling.

last thing could be high stress on the CPU—either too much or not enough. If you have someone familiar with PC IDs, they might also check the problem. Outside of a serious issue with the motherboard, poor CPU fit during installation, loose 20-pin or 8-pin connectors, or a faulty PSU, it’s hard to say what else is likely causing the issue.
