Regarding the hole you need—does it contain a metal ring? I’m not sure if it does. If it doesn’t, it’s not the right one. Only use holes with the metal ring because that’s how the system gets its grounding. If your board or setup isn’t properly grounded, you’ll face issues.

For the screw, take out all other screws and then carefully pull the board outward while turning the driver. It should come out. In the case of a loose standoff, remove it as instructed, take the standoff off the screw, and reinsert it firmly into the case.

It’s unclear what you mean by "only using 8 screws for a MB." Could you clarify your question?

It's okay if the board needs to be removed entirely. Make sure the screws for the standoffs are correct during reinstallation. If the standoff is damaged, it won't work, but missing just one screw won't cause any issues. I currently have 5 in this set and they're all functioning properly.

I was considering these points... Is the standoff also pulling back? Does the screw ever snap when it reaches a specific position? If so, that’s likely because the standoff did pull back, meaning you’ll need to take down the whole board.

It looks like the issue arose because the screw got stuck. Removing the board is the best solution. Also, make sure the standoffs are tightened properly—screws should be snug but not over-tightened (just firm). Remember, standoffs should be tighter than the screws to prevent them from loosening again.

I managed to use the correct hole, though I realize I still have two screws stuck in the same issue.

Spoke too quickly, so I took it out. That’s why I noticed the screw issue—those standoffs have that small metal ring coming off. I own standoffs from another case, but their size isn’t the same. Should I use different cases for this job? Or is it better to skip those damaged ones and avoid screws altogether?
