Hi, your M.2 SSD has been with you for nearly a year now. After getting some new CPU paste applied, I took the PC to a repair shop. Once they finished, they booted it up and showed a message saying "no boot disk found or disk has failed." I hadn’t had any issues with the SSD before. They mentioned there was an update done prior. The M.2 drive doesn’t appear in the BIOS or Windows (I installed Windows on a SATA drive), but it works fine in an old PC and I’ve managed to recover my files. Any advice?

I've encountered this situation before—it turned into a drive partitioning setup. The M.2 drive was set up with an MBR, while the motherboard only recognized drives in a GPT format. With a new motherboard and CSM enabled, the upgrade process was straightforward; swapping just the CPU module worked. However, the NVMe drive being in MBR on the old configuration wasn't compatible. You might want to verify if the drive is indeed MBR. If it is, try converting it to GPT using a search for "convert boot drive from MBR to GPT." There are many detailed guides available online.

Sure, I’ll try to explain it in a simpler way. Let me know if you’d like me to do that.

Place your SSD on the existing machine that functions. Launch Disk Management by entering dskmgmt in the search field. Choose your disk, right-click, then Properties → Volumes. Check whether it uses MBR or GPT. If it’s MBR, proceed with conversion using the provided link and retry.

I submitted this earlier and will revise it soon. Thanks. If it doesn't work, I'll bring it to experts at my dad's repair shop tomorrow.
