If your BIOS isn't updated → your motherboard uses a BIOS that doesn't match the i7 7700K Place. Return your old CPU and install the latest BIOS. Remember it's Z170, not 7170. It's actually an i7 7700K, not 17 7700K. Also, it's not 15 6600K—it's an i5 6600K. Based on what you described, I understood your intent; however, searching online makes it simpler to use the right terms (like checking your motherboard for the newest BIOS).

Your Windows was functioning properly before. This usually occurs due to a CPU swap. When you select Advanced Options > Continue, it may cause you to return to the same issue.
