Hey guys,
Sorry if there is already a thread about this but I’ve been trying to follow this video on overclocking my 9700K:
View: https://youtu.be/zVl6pcBD1TI
I have the same CPU setting all my cores to 49x multiplier and I’m slowly increasing the Core IccMax by 5 Amps but I instantly get Current Limit Throttling even though I increase the Amps.
What am I doing wrong? When I increase the amps, I THEN get a power limit throttling “YES”.
My MOBO: Asus ROG STRIX Z390-F
I appreciate any advice or links to more useful threads.
Cheers, Jack

You don't require a manual for the motherboard. The main variations between boards for any particular chipset are minor when it comes to BIOS settings. Occasionally there can be slight discrepancies in how Gigabyte labels something compared to ASUS, but usually you can easily search online and understand the differences.

I was until I received advice against using it. Now I'm attempting to operate the BIOS, do you have any manuals for the MOBO I'm using? Also, I'm trying to adjust my current capability to 170%, but the maximum is 140%.
