Based on past experience, connecting a PS4 controller to Windows 10 can be frustrating, especially with wired or Bluetooth options. You often need special software to let Windows recognize it correctly. It's been a while since I tried, and the tools were named something like DS4Tool.

Use the Windows Bluetooth settings menu to link the controller, then apply the right software settings... Unfortunately, this resulted in receiving another controller for PC use.
