Hello everyone! Here are my details: GPU - R9 280x Vapor-X OC, CPU - FX-8350 4.0Ghz, RAM - 10GB, PSU - 850W, CPU cooler - 850W, Hyper 212 Evo MOBO, MSI Gaming 970.

Right now I’m experiencing crashes and freezes in Grand Theft Auto V while exploring or playing missions. I’ve checked the internet and tried several solutions, but the issue seems linked to a memory leak in the game. After adjusting settings, it worked for about 30 to 60 minutes.

Another thing that helped is under-clocking the GPU core clock – it runs smoothly without crashes unless modded. I should note the GPU was factory overclocked and wasn’t altered by me.

I’m confused about how these two factors interact. Usually I don’t see blue screens, just a hard shutdown or a red screen, but this time it felt like something more serious happened.

If you can help, please look at the attached file and let me know what you find! Thanks!

Adjusting a few options to prevent memory issues. Not sure if this will stop crashes later.

Do you rely on an Xbox 360 controller for gameplay? I've encountered multiple problems and crashes linked to its usage.

I used them at a reduced setting, but issues persist.
