Hi everyone, I'm trying to pick a B450 motherboard without overspending. I recently had the ASUS TUF B450 Pro-Gaming fail within a year, so I'm looking for a reliable alternative. I found three options that stood out: Aorus B450M, MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max, and ASRock B450M Steel Legend. I'm focusing on reviews and comments between these models. I don't plan to overclock and will stick with my current parts—Ryzen 5 2600, Gigabyte 1650 Super T-Forecast Dark Za 3600 MHz. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I tend to prefer a steel legend build, though the gigabyte option is also strong. The main reason is the steel legend includes a larger heatsink for the VRM, which likely results in cooler performance. The Aorus offers more SATA ports, but the steel legend provides additional internal USB 2.0 headers. Plus, the steel legend supports both RGB and ARGB headers.

I've experienced great success with MSI gaming boards and Ryzen processors. That's the approach I'd take first—try to obtain a replacement from the manufacturer.

Eventually I’ll get it because it’s covered under my store’s one-year warranty. Still, I’m considering selling it to a friend at a lower price. Right now I’m weighing whether to stick with full Gigabyte parts since my GPU is from them.

Yes, the Aorus model typically includes ARGB headers in its specifications.
